Whether you filed an Informal Appeal or not during our Informal Appeals process, it is your right to appeal the value or classification of your property to the Knox County Board of Equalization if you so choose.
If you believe the listed value of your parcel does not reflect the fair market value or classification of your property, you may appeal to the County Board of Equalization. You must schedule an appointment by calling (865) 215-2006 beginning Wednesday, May 25, 2022 through Wednesday, June 29, 2022. Every effort will be made to accommodate all appeals to the County Board. The Board will meet in the Old Courthouse at 300 Main Street. Failure to appeal to the County Board of Equalization will result in the values and the classification being final for tax year 2022.
