Government Facility Inspection Program

Michael K. Brown, Knox County Deputy Fire Marshal A life safety inspector from the Knox County Fire Prevention Bureau inspects all facilities that are owned by Knox County. The required inspections are conducted for the existing facilities and for all new construction projects. Some examples of Knox County facilities are:

  • Public school campuses
  • Public libraries,
  • Health departments,
  • Detention/correctional facilities,
  • County owned parks and the
  • Women's Basketball Hall of Fame.

Also inspected are the private school campuses located within Knox County, outside the city limits of Knoxville or outside the city limits of Farragut.
