Community-Based Collaborative Partner
Welcome to a listing of Knox County Health Department community-based
collaborative partners. These partnerships are fostered from within the
Knox County Health Department via staff located in the Community Health
Planning & Initiatives Division. As we progress further into enhancing the health of people who live, work, and play in Knox County, we recognize the complex web of socio-economic patterns that often get in the way of major gains in health status and quality-of-life. While we know that health and quality-of-life are determined by a complex interaction of social, economic, educational, psychological, behavioral, genetic, medical and environmental variables - it is the potential unique mix of these determinants as a system embedded within a community that gives us the greatest potential for healthy change.
Click on links below to visit any of the community programs listed below as we partner with them to develop interventions that address the root cause and not simply symptoms, to create healthy sustainable change.
