Knox County's Adopt-A-Watershed Program

The Adopt-A-Watershed Program: Knox Schools

To assist with our education and outreach efforts, Knox County Stormwater Management sponsors a 7-member AmeriCorps Water Quality Team (WQT).  The WQT implements the Adopt-A-Watershed program in an average of 15 middle and high schools in Knox County.  The program teaches watershed education through hands-on place-based service learning activities and projects.  Over 1,500 students are engaged in this program annually.
