Do you want to stay Active and Independent for Life? Try our S.A.I.L program!

This evidence-based program is designed to prevent falls and includes exercise classes, educational materials and self-assessments. The classes are designed specifically for older adults and focus on endurance, strength, balance, and flexibility.

Why SAIL?

It works…you’ll be stronger, have better balance and will feel better. SAIL will help you stay independent, active and prevent falls.

It’s safe…the instructors are experienced and skilled, and exercises have been tested with seniors.

It’s fun…you’ll meet other seniors and make new friends.

When & Where are classes?

S.A.I.L is open to anyone, geared towards those 65+ (Walk-Ins Welcome) Please call for specific dates and times of classes. A small fee may be associated with the S.A.I.L classes

On the first Wednesday of every month, all KCHD offices and clinics are closed in the morning for staff in-service. On these days, the main location (140 Dameron Ave.) will open at 11 a.m. and the West Clinic (1028 Old Cedar Bluff) will open at 11:30 a.m.

Clinics will also open at 10:30 a.m. (Main location) and 11 a.m. (West Clinic) on the following Wednesdays: April 17 and July 17. All other offices will open at 8 a.m.
