Diabetes Management

diabetes Today an estimated 29 million people are living with diabetes in the United States. Thanks to better treatments, people with diabetes are now living longer – and with a better quality of life – than ever before. If you are living with diabetes, it’s important to make choices that keep you and your loved ones healthy.

Being diagnosed with diabetes is a life-changing event. Managing the disease can be time consuming and overwhelming. That's why the Knox County Health Department offers a free three-part series and a variety of resources to help.


Free Online Three-part Diabetes Management Class

Join us for a free three-part series to learn about type 2 diabetes, including the role of diet and exercise, medications, and management. There are several opportunities throughout the year to attend the series. This class is open to everyone, regardless of your diabetes status.

When:

  • January 21, 28 and February 4, 2021 from 6-7 p.m. (Thursdays)
    (Registration for this series is closed. Please register for one of our upcoming classes below.)
  • February 18, 25, and March 4, 2021 from 6-7 p.m. (Thursdays)

West Clinic has reduced their hours to help with COVID efforts.
If you need pediatric and adolescent vaccines for children and some adults, West will be open Tuesday and Thursday 8-12.
