Eligibility requirements for retiree active medical insurance:
If you are retiring from Knox County Government and under age 65 and wish to continue your active medical insurance upon retirement or disability, you must be currently enrolled in the active medical plan upon retirement.

Medicare Advantage Plans
Effective January 1, 2012

Humana Healthcare
HMO – No Gap Coverage
LPPO – Generics Only Gap Coverage

HMO Benefits:

The monthly premium for the HMO is $98 per month per individual

LPPO Benefits:

The monthly premium for the LPPO is $40 per month per individual

Eligibility requirements for Medicare Advantage Plans:
To enroll in one of the Medicare Advantage Plans through Knox County Retirement, you must be retired or on disability through Knox County Retirement and you must have both Medicare Part A and Medicare Part B to enroll in a Medicare Advantage Plan. The Plans offered thru Knox County Retirement have Medicare Part D.
