Tennessee Free Fishing Day - TWRA
The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency is sponsoring Free Fishing Day on Saturday, June 7 from 8 a.m. to noon at The Cove at Concord Park. The Cove is located at 11960 S. Northshore Drive. TWRA will provide fishing equipment and have several door prize drawings for kids. The Tennessee Valley Sportsman Club will be cooking free hotdogs and snacks.
The Second Saturday Concerts at The Cove
The Second Saturday Concerts at The Cove will continue this year with a wide variety of entertainment for the entire family. The free concerts, held the Second Saturday of each month, June through September, take place from 6-8 p.m. at The Cove in Concord Park, 11808 Northshore Drive.

Scarecrows in the Park
Where: New Harvest Park, 4775 New Harvest Lane
Individuals, school groups, art clubs, businesses and families are invited to join in the fun and create their own creepy or silly scarecrow to place along the quarter-mile walking trail at New Harvest Park. There is no fee to enter, and each entrant will receive a free hay bale on the day of set-up. Application forms are due by TBA and can be completed online at
Public ballots will be available through TBA and the winners in best individual, best youth/student group and best adult/professional group categories will be announced at the farmers market on TBA.
