Community Meeting Scheduled For Burlington Neighborhood Park

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:  Knox County Parks and Recreation will host a community  meeting to discuss the progress and plans for the new Burlington park.  Staff from the Burlington Library and Town Hall East will also be in attendance, offering opportunities for citizens to get involved in this and other neighborhood projects.

The agenda includes Terry Shupp, Knox County’s Parks and Greenways Coordinator, who will present the current plans and timeline for the new park adjacent to the library.  In addition, Jeff Petrik, President of the Town Hall East community group, will discuss their efforts and opportunities for other citizens and groups to get involved in neighborhood activities.

Larry Frank, Director of the Knox County Library system will not be in attendance.
