Event Planned to Name Baseball Field at Tommy Schumpert Park

KNOXVILLE, Tenn.—Knox County Parks and Recreation will hold a ceremony on Wednesday, April 21, at 5 p.m. to officially name the baseball field at Tommy Schumpert Park,6400 Fountain City Road. The field is the home of Central High School’s baseball team, and Central will play Halls directly following the event.

Former County Executive Tommy Schumpert, Knox County Mayor Mike Ragsdale, Doug Bataille, Senior Director of Knox County Parks and Recreation, Central High Principal Danny Trent, and several former Central High players will be in attendance.
