Happy Halloween from Knox County! Today’s your last chance to stop by New Harvest Park and check out Scarecrows in the Park.

The 2012 scarecrow winners were announced at last week’s farmers market. First place in the youth/student category went to “Little Ghost Garden” by Young Adventures Group and second to “Archery Annie” by 4-H Line & Design Project Group.

First place in the adult/professional category went to defending champion Victor Zanoni for “Watcher of the Dark” and second place to “Taekwondo Scarecrow” by Jon Paul Roberts Family Taekwondo.

A big thanks to all of this year’s participants, Knoxville TVA Employees Credit Union for donating prize money, The Home Depot for sponsoring free hay bales and the Knoxville Bee Keepers Association for providing honey to the scarecrow teams.
