Dispensary of Hope
The Dispensary of Hope at the Knox County Health Department Pharmacy helps uninsured residents of Knox County at no cost with their medicines. Short term, we provide assistance by using samples that have been donated by physicians in our community. Long-term, we connect patients with patient assistance programs (PAPs) offered by pharmaceutical companies.
The Knox County Health Department mission is “to encourage, promote, and assure the development of an active, healthy community through innovative public health practices.” The Dispensary of Hope is one way to make our mission statement a reality for many Knox County citizens who are unable to afford much needed medications.
