Adopt-A-Road
Keep our County roads beautiful. Agree to pick up litter at least twice a year along a section of road in Knox County. The County provides bags, safety vests, gloves, litter pickers and warning signs and picks up the bags along the roadside. more >>
Adopt-A-Stream
Help keep our local waterways healthy. Knox County, in partnership with the Water Quality Forum, the City of Knoxville and the Town of Farragut invite you to Adopt-A-Stream. We provide training on how to conduct monitoring of the health of your adopted stream section along with how to execute a safe and successful clean-up. more >>
Phone book recycling is a fundraising competition between local schools that encourages recycling of old out-of-date phone books while providing financial incentives for schools to participate. Phone books are generally collected during the months of December and January at participating Knox County schools. Call a school near you to find out if they are participating.
