Knox County Parks and Recreation's Second Saturday concert series will conclude the season on September 13, with The Retroholics. The concerts, a summertime tradition of music in the park, run the second Saturday of each month, June through September.
The Retroholics describe themselves as "an 80's rock and pop cover band with surprises from other eras, including some old school hip hop and "good ol' boy" country tunes.”
Prior to each Second Saturday concert, local Girl Scout troops will coordinate craft activities for children beginning at 5 p.m. These activities are free. Vendors will also be on site with food and drinks for sale.
Bring a picnic and a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy the music from 6 until 8 p.m. Or, come by boat and rock out on the water! Children’s craft projects will begin at 5 p.m. and vendors will be on site with food and drinks. The Cove at Concord Park offers a swimming beach, sand volleyball courts, a playground and walking trail.
