Knox County Tennesee

Committees

The Knox County Commission, like most legislative bodies, has a system of committees which hear ordinances and resolutions. The committees may refer all ordinances and resolutions to the full County Commission for action. In December 2002 and January 2003 the Knox County Commission changed its rules and streamlined the committee process, eliminating duplication and many of the standing committees. The Commission still retains a "Consent Calendar" for meetings. Should you like more information, please do not hesitate to contact the Knox County Commission office.

Finance Committee
