Dave Wright was appointed to the Knox County Commission on February 20, 2008 and subsequently elected to a partial term in August 2008. Commissioner Wright won the 2010 Commission race for the 8th District and will serve the citizens of his community for a 6 year term.
A life-long resident of Corryton, Dave Wright graduated from Gibbs High School and earned his BS in Management from the University of Tennessee.  Wright was a Lieutenant in the US Army during the Vietnam era and is recently retired from AT&T. A dairy farmer’s son, Boy Scout, Mason and Methodist, Dave Wright strives to serve the citizens of his community with diligence, integrity and honor.

Commissioner Wright and his wife, Pat, have one son, Bill, and are the proud grandparents of Ansley.  The Wrights reside at 6930 Boruff Road in Corryton.
