Bob and his wife of 35 years, Barbara, have lived in Knox County for many years. Since 1986, they have been residents of the Powell Community.

Bob served with TVA as a law enforcement officer for 17 years and retired in 1995. That same year he began working for the Public Building Authority supervising security and life safety efforts. In 2000 he was named Director of Property Management for PBA where he managed more than a million square feet of government properties for both Knox County and the City of Knoxville. He retired from that position in 2007.

Bob also served for 26 years in the Tennessee Air National Guard and retired with the rank of Master Sergeant in the fire protection career field in 1997. He is a graduate of the Air National Guard Non-Commissioned Officer’s Academy.

He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Wildlife and Fisheries Science and a Master of Science Degree in Safety Education, both from the University of Tennessee. Bob is also a graduate of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center.

Bob's volunteer commitments include 20 years of service to youth baseball. He currently is a member of the Board of Directors for Jubilee Community Arts.

Bob and Barbara have two grown children, Bart and Sara Buff Pratt, both of whom live and work the Knoxville area.
