Commissioner Jack Huddleston
8th District

Commissioner Jack HuddlestonJack Huddleston was appointed by the Knox County Commission to fill the seat of John Mills with a vote of 17-1 on January 31, 2007.

Commissioner Huddleston is retired from the City of Knoxville Fire Department having worked 25 years. He was the founder and operator of Jack's Wholesale Tire in Corryton for 20 years. Jack received several awards from numerous tire companies for his ambition and knowledge necessary to succeed in a competitive environment.

Jack Huddleston served as chairman of the Corryton precinct for 8 years. Jack planned and organized a Republican Rally for the 7th and 8th districts bringing Knox County Republican officials together with U.S. Senate and House of Representatives. Jack arranged several functions and events to elect Bob Corker to the U.S. Senate. Jack's participation in the Honorable Bob Corker's campaign for Senate was one of the highlights of his political career.

Jack Huddleston attended Gibbs Elementary, Gibbs High School and Cooper Business Institute. Jack's Great-Grandfather, Nicholas Gibbs, donated a large portion of the land for Gibbs School. Nicholas Gibbs was on the Knox County School Board and was instrumental in getting the funds appropriated for the "Brick School".

Commissioner Huddleston has been married to Joyce Huddleston for 45 years. They have one daughter and four grandchildren.
