Chuck Bolus is the Assistant Principal at Gresham Middle School, where he works with the children of North Knoxville to insure each receives a quality education.
Commissioner Bolus graduated from Central High School in 1980 and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from Lincoln Memorial University, and a Master's Degree in Education Administration in 1992.
He began his career working with youth through the Knoxville City Recreation Department in the spring of 1976 as an official and umpire at the Fountain City Ball Park. He began teaching in 1988 and accepted a position as teacher and coach at Gresham Middle School in August 1990. He was appointed Assistant Principal at Gresham in the spring of 2000.
Commissioner Bolus has committed a good portion of his life to working with children. As Commissioner, Bolus plans to continue to serve Knox County's youth with the same dedication and enthusiasm he has shown throughout his career.
Chuck and Angie Bolus reside at 108 Charlene Lane with their 5 children: Rolen, Erin, Zachary, Hayden and Seth.
